Valuing Family

Family gaps, revenges, turning against the  mother or father, children being kept from parents, and siblings losing touch with brothers and sisters – are just some of the aftermaths of divorce, separation, annullment, and discontent. All because the family couldn’t hold it all together, nor fight and strive for what they want and achieve, nor give it chance and make it work out, and not being able to understand each others hopes and dreams.

In this world where most of us are caught up in our own struggle to be successful we forget to keep in touch with the people who got us where we are, the people who gave us the confidence to conquer the world, who picked us up whenever we fall, the people who loved us unconditionally, but most of all we tend to forget the people who brought us into this world – our parents, our family.

As we get older we begin to see the value of biological family. Despite the differences happening now, no matter how twisted the story is, we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them. Gifts, cash or material things are just things, they have no power to hurt or heal. Only people can do that and we can all choose whether to be hurt or be healed by the people who loves us. A simple text or message of love and gratefulness, a call, or a hug would mean so much more than all of those things.
